Personal Space was officially launched as a registered company on January 5 of 2004. Previous to this, the company had existed in various forms, but mainly as a side project. Our background in graphic design and marketing both within the temporary tattoo industry and in the more mainstream corporate world made starting our own company a logical move.

The question, however, was how do you offer a superior product at an affordable price and still generate a reasonable profit. The custom temporary tattoo market is traditionally one that does not allow for high profit margins. The product must be sold at a reasonable price in order to be attractive to potential customers. On the other hand printing costs and the expense of running a traditional office can be quite expensive. To solve this dilemma, Personal Space decided to take advantage of all the benefits modern technology has to offer and create a virtual office. Most of our staff are self-employed and do freelance and contract work for the graphics and marketing industries.

Each of us have modern, state-of-the-art home offices. Why then should we spend money on office space and equiptment to replicate what we already have access to at home. The telephone, cell phone, fax machine and e-mail keep us in constant contact. We can send artwork to each other by e-mail in the time it takes to walk across an office.
